Needlepoint Tapestry - A design that started from a simple heart in the square in the centre, followed by the letters of each word spelt out, going around in an anti clockwise direction. Repeated until it ends with a heart in the final square of 16 x 16 squares.  A playful combination of primary colours, allows the eye to drift all over the design and to pick out any colour you choose to compliment decor! So much colour, and so much to contemplate on, a message to meditate on whilst enjoying the entire image.

The original piece is stitched on zweigart mono canvas, 12 stitches to 1”, in various stitches. The thread is DMC Cotton Perlé - a premium craft thread which I choose for its versatility, bright colours and hint of shine.

The original piece is a one off, hand stitched in 2024 and designed by Shelley Faye Lazar. Giclée limited edition prints are also available.

Image size 32 x 32cms, with approximately 2cms selvedge unworked canvas around. Presented in a “box frame” (500 x 500mm) allowing the unworked canvas to remain exposed so that the glass will not rest directly on top of the thread.
