Needlepoint Tapestry

A design that started from a simple square in the centre, and answered the call of symmetry by factions growing from there, bothhorizontally and vertically. A playful combination of muted primary colours in different patterns and directional stitch, allow the eye to drift all over the design and to match with any colour you choose! A simple border frames and holds the design. So much colour, and so much to contemplate on, this design would sit comfortably in any interior decor.
Design has been cleaned, so no canvas selvedge around. Suggest either frame as is, or add white mount.
Prints are sold rolled with protective acid free tissue, in a tube. Signed and numbered. Limited edition.

The tapestry was started in lockdown and gave me immense peace and satisfaction.
I used tent and diagonal stitch for the squares and the design simply evolved. I used either one big square or four smaller ones and it all fitted in as a jigsaw would. They thread is DMC Cotton Perlé 3, on 12 to the inch, mono canvas. The different colours used cannot be counted or classified!
There is a small area of canvas around the design which allows for mounting or seams for a cushion. The art work is sold as is, no frame, mount or additional stitch work.
