Needlepoint Tapestry - a simple message, starting at the centre, with nine hearts in total creating a subtle and sophistication addition to any wall, giving the eyes a contemplative image for thought and pleasure.

This design was inspired by the thought of the message, using nine individual designs of hearts with as much colour as possible! Held together with the title repeated around.

The original piece is stitched on zweigart mono canvas, 12 stitches to 1”, in various stitches. The thread is DMC Cotton Perlé - a premium craft thread which I choose for its versatility, bright colours and hint of shine.

The original piece is a one off, hand stitched in 2024 and designed by Shelley Faye Lazar. Giclée limited edition prints are also available.

Each heart panel can also be sewn using kits, following a grid, threads and helpful instructions!

Image size 32 x 32cms, with approximately 2cms selvedge unworked canvas around. Presented in a “box frame” (500 x 500mm) allowing the unworked canvas to remain exposed so that the glass will not rest directly on top of the thread.
