Colour is my passion …

… and scarves are the canvases to allow me to enjoy the many ways I can express myself with the media of fabrics and techniques with thread. I see my scarves as jewellery in textiles – and they are functional too!

My formal training and experience as a graphic designer can be seen in the designs I create to exploit colour in all its possible variations.

The new “Trompe L’Oeil Collection “ is an achievement of a long ambition, combining my love of stitched canvas work, and the joy of knitting, in an available and accessible way for your enjoyment.

Using state of the art technology, all my original canvases and pieces of knitting have been translated via digital print onto habotai silk or a very fine weave wool.

The visual qualities of each stitch, together with the clarity of colours are retained, preserving complete integrity of the original artwork. The tease is that it appears to be what it is not, but is actually so much more!

I work in my studio in Malvern, Worcestershire. Visitors are by arrangement. I am happy to take special commissions. I attend many shows and exhibitions throughout the country during the year – please consult my list of shows to see where I shall be.

Enjoying the Malverns with Jesse the Lurcher for inspiration, recharge and thought, when I’m not working in my studio…….
